ABOUT
Hridayesh Joshi is an award-winning journalist, writer, and photographer. During his career spanning more than 25 years he has reported on a wide range of issues including politics, agriculture, health, rural affairs, and internal security.
Hridayesh is author of the book "Rage of the River - The Untold Story of the Kedarnath Disaster" published by Penguin India. He also wrote a novel Lal Lakeer (The Red Line) set in Bastar, published by Harper Collins India (2016). In 2023 his work Aitken ka Himalaya was published which is Hindi translation of Bill Aitken’s travelogue “Footloose in the Himalaya”. His recent work is the translation of Ramachandra Guha's literary memoirs which is published under the name "Samane Aate hi Nahin".
He writes and reports widely on current affairs mainly on health, climate change, environment, and energy. He has produced long form videos reports and documentaries besides writing stories for various newspapers and websites.

AWARDS & RECOGNITIONS
Hridayesh is three times winner of prestigious Ramnath Goenka Award for Excellence in Journalism. He was also given National Water Award (Rajat ki Boonden) by NEER Foundation in 2023. His work is published in the anthology, Himalaya edited by Ruskin Bond and Namita Gokhale. In 2017 he was invited to Yale University, USA to speak on his book Rage of the River - The Untold Story of the Kedarnath Disaster.
